Muddy water was partially inspired by the rapper Prof. I had started seeing clips of his on my timeline and became a fan. I have been meaning to listen to more of his discography and study him more closely. But I love the his unique and over the top style. For the last few months, I have also been listening to Lil Wayne's entire discography. Still have a long way to go but I have made some good progress.

I've been a Wayne fan since I was in high school. His wordplay is something I always try to emulate in my own music.

With a lot of my other songs for '24 being heavier in subject matter, or sexier, I wanted to make room for some records where I just rap and have fun.

I went out to Music in Focus studio to have it recorded, mixed and mastered.
